For many years now, Bruce Edwards has been a " first call" guitarist in New York’s diverse music community. His chamelionic ability to change his style and sound to suit the demands of the moment has taken him from doing bluesy rock with G.E. Smith and Lenny Pickett of the Saturday Night Live band in one moment, to the frenetic avant-garde space music of jazz visionary Sun Ra in the next,as well as accompanying artists as diverse as R&B/HipHop group Fatty Koo.

As a composer, arranger and musical director, Edwards has also worked in musical theater as part of the development team for the hit Broadway musical, Swing!, as well as on plays by Diane Macintyre, Keith Glover, and others. Other recent projects include composing television and radio jingles for such products as ATT Japan, Johnson & Johnson , Sears, Fuji Film, and a PSA for Action Against Hunger, which earned him a Telly Award in 2006. He has also composed and produced several spots for the TVLAND network, Nick at Nite, Nickelodeon, and in 2003 produced much of the underscore for MTV’s’ March Madness Uncensored", and the "CRIBS" DVD". Bruce also contributed music and sound design to the recently aired PBS documentary- "This Far by Faith" , which aired in April of 2003.In addition, in his own creative projects he has composed and arranged for various ensembles which have encompassed rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, and free improvisational elements.
