Born In Cincinnati Ohio, Brandon Combs had his first album (8 track) memorized by the age of 16 months (Earth, Wind & Fire’s, “All N All”). Sneaking down to his basement with copies of Donny Hathaway and Richard Pryor albums throughout his formative years developing what was to become the foundation for his completely captivating brand of entertainment. Chosen to open for acts such as the Grammy Award winning gospel groups Commissioned and Take 6, it became clear that Brandon was well on his way to establishing himself among the who’s who of contemporary gospel in the early 80’s. But by the early nineties, there was a switch in the direction of his musical path. Establishing his own Jazz combo (Standard Time) and working with the likes of Kurt Elling, Ray Brown, Jeff Hamilton and Gene Harris and Singing with The Eddie Love Big Band, Brandon quickly became known as the insider’s man to know in the Jazz vocal scene. Today, Brandon is still widely regarded as one of the best kept secrets within the music scene, having returned to his soulful roots and reestablished himself as a true force to be reckoned with. The first choice of musicians that have played with Prince, Patti LaBelle, Justin Timberlake, Roy Ayers, Stevie Wonder and Lalah Hathaway. It’s time for the secret to be revealed.
